Calrec’s Brio36 mixer wins Thai vote

THAILAND:

Having taken the decision to upgrade its entire studio and outside broadcasting infrastructure, Thai Parliament TV (TPTV) has taken delivery of Calrec Brio36 consoles for its digital audio mixing requirements. The Thai television channel broadcasts sessions from the National Assembly of Thailand, including the House of Representatives and Senate, to the Thai network. Launched in 2006, TPTV also transmits educational and edutainment programs in addition to parliamentary coverage.

Working closely with Advance Digital Tech Group (ADT), Calrec’s Southeast Asian regional representative JAA Systems supplied the Brio36 solution to the Bangkok-based broadcaster. The collaboration between TPTV, ADT, and JAA Systems ensured a seamless integration of the new equipment into TPTV’s existing infrastructure. The two Brio36 work surfaces were primarily specified for their future-ready IP connectivity, ease of use, expandability, and premium audio quality.

In addition to a standard flight-cased Brio36 for the OB system, the live broadcast studio model has been customized with 36 faders dual layers, 96 DSP channels, an SDI de-embedder, and a Br.IO stagebox. This customization ensures that TPTV can handle a wide range of broadcast scenarios with ease and efficiency.

“With this investment, TPTV has become the first Brio36 mixer customer in Thailand,” commented ADT MD Supat Sirithamrat. He noted that the console’s many features are already benefiting TPTV’s engineers. “With the console’s many features, the TPTV engineers are quickly discovering the many inherent benefits included within the design,” he added.

The compact Brio36 is said to have established Calrec as a leading brand among broadcasters in Southeast Asia. JAA Systems MD David Chan explained the significance of TPTV’s investment. “The investment made by TPTV marks the first sale for Calrec’s Brio36 in Thailand,” he stated. Chan highlighted the growing recognition of the console’s capabilities in the region. “An increasing number of broadcasters in this region have become aware of its power and versatility,” he added.

This strategic upgrade by TPTV not only enhances its current broadcasting capabilities but also positions the channel for future advancements in broadcast technology. The Brio36’s advanced features and reliability ensure that TPTV can continue to deliver high-quality content to its audience. The partnership with ADT and JAA Systems underscores the importance of collaboration in achieving successful technological upgrades.

TPTV’s investment in the Calrec Brio36 consoles demonstrates a commitment to maintaining high standards in broadcasting. The new mixers provide TPTV with the tools necessary to produce clear, high-quality audio for a variety of programs. This upgrade marks a significant milestone for TPTV as it continues to evolve and improve its broadcasting infrastructure.

In conclusion, the integration of Calrec Brio36 consoles into TPTV’s operations reflects the channel’s dedication to excellence and innovation. This strategic decision ensures that TPTV remains at the forefront of broadcast technology in Thailand, delivering superior audio quality and reliability to its viewers. The collaboration with ADT and JAA Systems highlights the importance of choosing the right partners for successful implementation and long-term support.
