Experts arrive in KL with Wireless Intercom System

JAA Systems has achieved a significant milestone by installing the first LaON LT750 Expert systems in Malaysia. This cutting-edge wireless communication system was deployed at the Kuala Lumpur studios of Astro Awani, one of the country’s leading news broadcasters. The installation included a pair of LT750 systems, along with 14 beltpacks and six remote base stations, enhancing the studio’s communication capabilities for their production teams.

The LaON LT750 systems were specifically chosen to expand Astro Awani’s existing wireless intercom system. This upgrade included not just the primary components but also a range of essential accessories, such as headsets, battery packs, and antenna cables, ensuring a seamless and fully integrated communication solution. The decision to opt for LaON’s advanced technology was made after a thorough evaluation process, with Astro Awani conducting tests that proved the system exceeded their stringent requirements.

“While planning for the expansion of our wireless intercom system, JAA Systems introduced us to the LaON brand, which is widely accepted in many countries,” explained Kumanan Punusamay, BOE Supervisor at Astro Awani. “We did a test and found that the LaON system surpassed our requirements.”

The successful integration of the LaON LT750 systems into Astro Awani’s existing intercom infrastructure was a complex task, requiring careful planning and execution. JAA Systems ensured that all components were housed in customized flight cases, providing both protection and portability for the system. “The LT750 systems were integrated into the existing intercom system with customized flight cases for all the parts,” confirmed Kaartigayan Gunasegran, Sales Engineer at JAA Systems. “The LaON systems were used for IFB (Interruptible Foldback) and two-way wireless communications, primarily for the OB production crew.”

Finding a solution that met all of Astro Awani’s needs was not an easy task, as noted by David Chan, Director of JAA Systems. “It was difficult to find a solution that met all of Astro Awani’s requirements, which led us to introduce the LaON system. As a trusted vendor, we go the extra mile to bring the best and latest technology to our clients. The LaON wireless intercom system suited them perfectly.”

The installation of the LaON LT750 systems also marked a successful collaboration between JAA Systems and Innostars Global, the South East Asia distributor for LaON. “The first LaON LT750 Expert systems installed in Malaysia formed a great setup,” said Joe Tan, Sales Director at Innostars Global. “We thank Astro Awani for their trust and appreciate JAA Systems for their support.”
