Malaysia: Monash University Malaysia has recently upgraded its multimedia department’s radio and podcast studios with solutions provided by JAA Systems. Contracted by Clearcast Asia, the project includes the installation of Axel Technology’s Oxygen 2000 with Dante AoIP networking and the Tascam Mixcast 4 podcast mixer.
The university has implemented the Oxygen 2000 radio mixer, which features Dante AoIP, to enable students and faculty to produce audio content in the radio studio with precision and efficiency, supporting a wide range of broadcasting and streaming applications.
In the podcast studio, JAA Systems supplied the Tascam Mixcast 4 podcasting station that features multiple microphone inputs, sound pads for effects and music and integrated mixing features. The solution can be utilised by students and faculty for podcasts, live streams and recordings, with the aim of simplifying the production process and enhancing the quality of the output.
The project has also included the complete redesign of the console table to enhance ergonomic functionality and aesthetic appeal. The studio will also be equipped with monitor speakers and other essential accessories to provide a fully immersive audio production experience.
David Chan, CEO of JAA Systems, added: “We are honoured to work with Monash University Malaysia on this important project. Our goal is to deliver a state-of-the-art studio environment that meets the highest standards of audio production and supports the university’s mission of excellence in education and research. The new equipment and studio redesign will greatly benefit the students by providing them with hands-on experience using cutting-edge technology, preparing them for successful careers in the media industry.”
