Calrec’s Brio36 comes to the Philippines with GMA

PHILIPPINES:

GMA Network, said to be the leading broadcasting company in Philippines, is the first in the country to purchase Calrec Audio’s Brio36 with a Br.IO stagebox. Also known as the Kapuso Network, GMA has TV, radio, online platforms and a wide array of other media-related ventures, such as film production, music publishing and distribution, set design and audio-visual production.

GMA upgraded following a decade of using an ageing analogue mixer within the TV news studio, and a few months later, it purchased another for its multipurpose studio. JAA Systems worked together with its Philippines dealer, Stagecraft International, to supply the Calrec consoles to GMA Network.

“GMA Network buying two Calrec’s Brio36 mixers within the same year proves that the Brio36 is really a wonderful mixer. With its flexibility, powerful features and minimalist surface, no wonder so many operators find it easy to use,” said Francisco Zabala, president of Stagecraft International.

“Congratulations GMA Network on purchasing the first Brio36 mixer in the Philippines. It’s a great recognition and a proven case that Calrec’s Brio36 is one of the best small to medium live broadcast and production consoles in the Southeast Asian market,” said Ts. David Chan, managing director of JAA Systems.
