Having used a Klotz Digital mixer since 2016, ManisFM started to look into a replacement mixer. It got in touch with JAA Systems, who demoed the Calrec Type R mixer. Said to be “love at first sight”, ManisFM was said to be impressed with the aesthetic and “solid smooth metal surface”.

“The mixer is very user-friendly with a simple operation. Gone are the days where there are many buttons and encoders. Now, with the Type R, it is fully motorised and the touch screen does most of the work. It helps our announcers and producers work easier and more productively,” said Ozarizan Mohd Nor, general manager of ManisFM.

“Calrec Type R has been well received and is popular among many radio stations in this region. With the latest modern AoIP technology, it is a customer-focused radio broadcast system which adapts to a station’s needs as its requirements evolve,” said David Chan, managing director of JAA Systems.
